Hebrew Free Burial Association
The Hebrew Free Burial Association (HFBA) devotes its resources to performing chesed shel emet (the ultimate act of lovingkindness- for the deceased who are unable to repay the kindness). It is the only agency in the greater New York metropolitan area dedicated to assuring that every Jew, regardless of financial means or religious affiliation, receives a dignified, traditional Jewish funeral and burial.

Since its inception in the 1880’s, the Hebrew Free Burial Association has buried over 65,000 indigent Jews. They have ranged in age from newborn to the elderly, and they may meet their ends in a hospital, nursing home, lonely apartment or even on the street.

Masa Israel Journey
Masa Israel Journey
About Masa Israel:
Masa Israel Journey connects Jewish young adults to gap year, study abroad, post-college, and volunteer programs. No other organization makes it easier for young adults to have exciting, life-changing experiences in Israel.

Through these immersive experiences, lasting between five and twelve months, participants develop a deep, personal connection to Israel and Jewish life, thereby ensuring the continuity of the Jewish people.

Masa Israel is a joint project of the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency for Israel and is made possible by the generous contributions of the Jewish Federations of North America and Keren Hayesod-UIA. Visit www.MasaIsrael.org for more information.

Temple Beth Abraham
Temple Beth Abraham
Temple Beth Abraham provides our members with opportunities to create meaningful connections to God, Torah, the Jewish People and our surrounding communities.

We are a Hamische place — welcoming, inclusive, unpretentious, positive and good-hearted.

We embrace all who come through our doors with warmth and caring, with an openness to diversity and a commitment to the dignity of each person in our midst.

We believe in connections to God and to our neighbor, to the timeless wisdom of Torah and the urgency of contemporary debate, to learning and friendship at all stages of life. We use our hearts, minds and hands to fulfill in modern times the ancient prophetic call to Tikkun Olam.

Temple Beth Abraham is a Jewish Community of spirituality and study, a place filled with God’s spirit and human kindness.
